Michael Muchioki and Nia Haqq were both tragic victims of a horrendous crime in Jersey City, NJ on April, 4, 2010. This newly engaged couple was widely known and remembered as both respectable and influential to their community of family and friends.
It is imperative that we reward and praise our youth to ensure their success and prevent the destruction of our own communities. The LoveMikeNia Foundation was established to continue this effort.
The LoveMikeNia Foundation encourages positive youth development through Scholarship, Mentoring and Community Service, all of which contributed to Mike and Nia's phenomenal upbringing. Our objective is to offer these initiatives to our youth participants to encourage hard work and help build strong character, in an effort to assure opportunities for success. Additionally, this foundation seeks to honor these two great people that I had the opportunity to know and love.
As the President of the LoveMikeNia Foundation, it will be my mission to turn a negative act into a positive outcome. It is my hope that we uplift the legacies of Mike and Nia in a way which enhances the lives of many to come.
We welcome all who are interested in lending their service to this foundation. For additional information please continue to visit www.lovemikenia.org
